Nose work is a great, easy and fun sport to get into. I haven’t met a dog yet that doesn’t love this game! It’s all about that sniffer – first we start with teaching the dog to hunt for food in a variety of increasingly difficult challenges and once they are ready we train them to find a target odor. Not only will your dog LOVE this class but it is also a great energy burner for a hyper hound.

Agility Foundations & Fitness

This Drop-In Agility Foundations and Fitness class is offered once or twice a month, usually on Saturdays. Teams joining this class ideally should have some training experience – either with us or another positive trainer. Your dog should be able to engage with you around other dogs in close proximity and you should understand the basics of marker/clicker training and lure/reward training.

This class is great for teams interested in starting into dog sports like agility. The class focuses on teaching independent sends to obstacles with distance, body awareness and fitness skills essential for dog sports like agility, beginning jumping and obstacle skills, and beginning handler skills. This class is great for working your dog’s body and brain! It’s also a wonderful option for shy or anxious dogs, as all of the body awareness work we do builds confidence!

These classes are Drop In. Currently being held in Fruitvale at a covered horse arena. No previous training needed to attend classes at this location.

Cost: $35 each (Buy 10, save 10%)

Fancy Feet – Heeling & Rally Obedience

In this class, we focus on foundations for precision competition-style heel work. This type of heeling is where the dog maintains constant attention to you, in a specific position at your side.

Rally obedience is a popular dog sport that is a bit more fun and relaxed than traditional obedience competition heeling – in rally you are allowed to talk to your dog, and you can use food rewards in the beginning stages of competition. Rally combines precision heeling with different challenges, such as sits, pivots, sidestepping, weaving through cones etc. The difficulty of the exercises in a course goes up with different levels of competition.

Even if you don’t plan to compete, this is a good class for working on calmness, focus, connection, fitness and body awareness.

These classes are Drop In. Currently being held in Fruitvale at a covered horse arena. No previous training needed to attend classes at this location.
