Pet-first-aid-class-barks-and-rec-trail-bcThis 10 hour certificate course offers comprehensive pet safety and first aid information and applies to dogs and cats. In this exciting course participants practice life saving skills on mannequins and as well on live animals.

It covers everything from prevention to treatment of illness and injury as well as information on how to keep your pet in optimal health.

Bleeding & Other Wounds
Broken Bones & Joint Injuries

Participants may bring their own dog to class to practice bandaging techniques.

Artificial respiration and CPR Skills are practised with CasPeR, the CPR dog. These life-like industry standard mechanical CPR mannequins ensure that participants learn exactly the right technique and life saving skills.

Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a certificate valid for 3 years. Those in the Pet Industry may utilize the Walks ‘N’ Wags logo on their website to verify completion of the program. Additionally, you’ll be added to the Walks ‘N’ Wags professional page.
