The original image given to me was a small digital file from a camera phone. Using Photoshop, I managed to pull out more details and by using a tablet with the image on it, I was capable of zooming/cropping into areas when needed:
I also created a short video showing me painting Mickey in less than two minutes even though it took me a total of 12 hours of painting over 20 days during the last two months. Watch the magic below:
