Anipet Donations that raised close to $1000!!

Barks and Recreation would love to send out a huge thank you for all of the donations that were collected via our store.

Total donations for the event were over $18,000 this year!!

Barks and Recreation managed to collect almost $1000 to go to our local Trail Regional BCSPCA. We are in awe by all of the customers that donated $5 or more without even batting an eye at our request. Our customer base is a fantastic group to consistently be working with, chat with, and help throughout the past five years we have been open. We would not have anything to give away for free without Amy from Anipet Distributors who organized the shipping of 120 cute, cuddly platypus toys to us to give as thanks for a donation to Paws for a Cause. Thank you so much Amy!!

Paws Walk through Gyro Park

The event went very well this year, the weather was great, there were so many happy volunteers ready to help us set up/take down as well as organize the events as they happened. This year we had a larger group of merchant tables at the event and we hope to build on that next year, it is nice to see local artisans show off their products to potentially a different crowd than the normal markets.

Genny from Panago for donated fifteen delicious pizzas which were sold by the slice for the event patrons and volunteers. The city graciously donated a couple of tents for us to cover the SPCA merchandise area at Gyro Park which was a perfect backdrop for all of the fun. Thank you Robin McLean, Glenda and Dan Harris, Karen Epp, Kornelia Geldrich, and Karen Wishneski for all of your efforts in dog demo entertainment.

See you all next year and tell your all your friends to come and enjoy the fun!
