Facebook friend and colleague Donna Hill made this neat little video explaining the difference between baiting, luring, and rewarding in dog training. I liked it so much, I wanted to re-share it. Donna writes:
“People commonly call a treat pouch a bait bag. This is incorrect. Baiting is a very different way of using food and toys than rewarding. People who use baiting with food or toys will never get their dog to do a behavior without food or toys visible. People who use food as a reward will. Find out how to use them properly.”
